MEDIA ADVISORY: Cadets to present research projects during Cadet Research Symposium Day

U.S. Coast Guard Academy External Affairs

NEW LONDON, Conn. -- Cadets at the U.S. Coast Guard Academy will be presenting capstone research projects all across the campus Thursday, May 2nd during Cadet Research Symposium Day.

The event provides cadets an opportunity to showcase their scholarly work before a diverse audience of peers, faculty, staff, sponsors, and supporters. The projects range from optimizing the footprint of the Coast Guard’s Recruiting Command to future uses for a class of small satellites known as CubeSats.

The symposium is intended to encourage cadets to use what they’ve learned during their academic career and throughout the 200-week program to find solutions to real-world issues within the fleet and the service.

Media representatives interested in covering this event should consult the event schedule https://www.cgaalumni.org/s/1043/images/editor_documents/Events/2024/24_research_symposium_program_schedule.pdf, and RSVP to the Coast Guard Academy by 4 p.m. on Wednesday, May 1st and indicate which presentations they are interested in attending.
