And the rockets’ red glare: a booming good Independence Day
Carlos Santana (located below left hand of Puerto Rican flag), a supply clerk for the Army’s 344th Military Intelligence Battalion, is joined by family and friends as he and his wife Trisha (standing to the left) celebrate the Fourth of July for the fourteenth consecutive time at the Goodfellow Recreational Camp at Lake Nasworthy. “It is important to spend time with family and those who are close to you on special days like the Fourth of July,” said Mr. Santana. The Santanas and their guests prepared Puerto Rican-style food to go along with the traditional American barbecue food of burgers and hot dogs. Dozens of other people spent their Fourth of July at the camp barbecuing and taking advantage of the amenities. (U.S. Air Force photo by Airman 1st Class Luis Loza Gutierrez)
